BNS inspectors have a specific technical and educational background in their product category. Most of Our inspectors have worked in factories and therefore have the manufacturing experience in their respective QC areas i.e textiles, furniture, lighting or giftware. Our QC professionals know how your products are made and can provide valuable suggestion to factories for the desired quality of your products.
Every BNS Quality inspector is well versed with AQL standards for inspections and packaging standards i.e 1A, 2A, 3A, drop or ecommerce packaging as per the requirements by our clients. We go by the AQL standards for the Critical, Major and Minor standards as given by our clients.
Once PO is placed our QC team does an initial meeting with factory for the production and inspection plan and any pre advice that is needed to be provided to factory. We ascertain that vendor has a counter sample in good condition including the HD images of the same. The meeting notes of the same is reported to the client for any feedback or comments.
Our inspectors will also alert you to any delays in the production cycle before emergencies arise. We will always keep our clients updated on the entire production process through our digital platform, email, videos, skype meetings and photographs.
We have the following 4 cycle of production and we undergo the number of the cycles as per the client requirements
Pre-production Inspection
1. In our pre-production inspection we tell the client which kind of raw materials (or components) will be used. Factories are often suspected of lowering their costs by using the substandard materials, we see very often that finishes and other accessories like zippers, handles etc.. vary a lot depending upon the source and quality of purchase. We strive for the best quality for these as per accepted quality of materials
The pre-production inspection can also focus on the processes followed as production starts. Sometimes this can also be critical, as factories very often cut corners and do not respect the buyer’s blueprints (e.g. patterns for cutting fabric are received from the buyer, and they are modified to make the process easier and faster or not following the exact thickness of wood or metal as per the approved sample of furniture or accessories
On Line Production inspection
2. An online production inspection which is also called “DUPRO” gives us a fair assessment of the average product quality, early in the production cycle. It is the most useful and the most important tool at the disposal of our QC inspectors, therefore we do let our client only rely on final inspections.
The online inspection schedule depends on the kind of products that we are inspecting. In the case of Textile etc..it usually takes place once some finished products have come out of the lines. If quality issues are found, what is already produced might be re-workable, and corrective actions can be taken for the rest of the job, whereas in the case of furniture and accessories, its important to check the goods when it comes in RAW for defects that cannot be rectified once its get into finishing line.
On line or mid line inspection process, is based on the principal of confirming the quality of shipments and catching the quality issues early rather than waiting for the final inspection to reject or accept the goods. This helps both factory and buyer for any last minute delay due to poor quality or unacceptable parameters of goods, inspected in final inspections.
Final inspection
3. The final inspection is as we all know done when goods are ready and at least 80% of the goods are packed. The inspection is done on the random basis and at least 5% of goods are inspected. The % of goods also depends on the type of goods that are to be inspected, 5% of random inspection of a 10000 piece order of glass votive will give a fair idea of the quality of inspection whereas in case of Sideboard furniture, each individual pc must to be inspected for the quality, since each piece is individually done and have number of areas to check for the quality i.e drawers, hardware , finish etc..
Container loading inspection
4. We have 7 point check for the container to check if the container is in right condition. We provide photos of empty, half filled, fully filled and when it is finally locked.
On special request we can provide this added service on chargeable basis, if customer has a specific container loading plan or requires a special loading instructions for its goods i.e. some cartons are too fragile to be placed at the bottom), or if the packaging is not conventional (e.g. some garments hung on bars, with no carton protection).
